Sold Out Crowd!!

Wow, I let time just slip away and I just realized how long it's been since I have blogged. So here I go again. I want to start by saying thank you to everyone for all of the support you have given me and my music career. You are all amazing friends, family, and fans! The constant comments you send me really keep my head up when things start to get a little rough. There are always obstacles that come and go and you are the reason I can get by them.

For example: I just had a one of the best times of my life at a SOLD OUT Backdoor Theatre in Wichita Falls, TX! That will really make a person feel good! This was a great sounding room and was filled to it's capacity with great people eager to listen to the music. I really appreciate the Backdoor Theatre for all of the help making this show happen. I will be adding pictures and videos from the show very soon to the website for you to see.

Special Olympics Fund Raiser

We performed at the Bragging Rights Games on Saturday night in Burkburnett, TX to benefit the Special Olympics and it was a good time and a good cause. I hope some money was raised for the Special Olympics and I look forward to next years event. Thank you to Mike Strickland for having us headline the event and for taking good care of us.

I am releasing my next single to radio this week! Listen for "Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame" on your radio station very soon and please request it every chance you get. Hot Weather, Blah

I took a much needed trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado and just got home from the trip. I almost forgot how hot it is here.

I am about to start promoting my next single on radio next week. Keep an ear out for it at your station and please request it so they know you are listening! The single is "Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame".

I will be performing this Saturday night with the band at the Bragging Rights Games in Burkburnett, TX. This is a fund raiser for the Special Olympics! I will be playing from 9 until 10:30 pm so please come out and join us if you get the chance.

I will also be performing at the Backdoor Theatre on August 14th in Wichita Falls, TX. This is a great concert venue and I am really looking forward to both of these shows. I hope to see you there!

Happy Birthday America!

What a great weekend! I played a show on Friday night at The Ranch on Possum Kingdom that was even better than last year. That place is awesome and the people are great. Thank you to Patty for having us back again this year. I had a great time. You always take good care of us when we come there and I really appreciate it. Hopefully we can come back again soon.

I played Saturday night for the Wichita Falls Tea Party Patriots outside of the Howard Johnson hotel and it too was awesome. Thank you to Tony, Mike, and Tinker as well as all the other patriots for taking such great care of us and treating us like stars. You all put on the best July 4th event that I have ever been to. It is good to be surrounded by proud American people that want the very best for their country and are willing to work hard to make it that way. You are those people and I appreciate you for that.

Wichita Falls Tea Party July 4th Celebration!

It's been blazing hot here at home lately. That's no shocker, it's always this way during the summers here. I have been helping my neighbors build their new house this week. It's a lot of hard work but it's also really rewarding and we always have a lot of fun. The house will be really nice when it's finished!

I have a big show coming up on July 4th in Wichita Falls, TX for the Wichita Falls Tea Party Patriots. I feel very honored to be asked to perform for this event. It will be held at the Inn at the Falls just next to the big waterfall. We are expecting a huge turnout and I know it will be a lot of fun. Big "D" and Bubba!

I had a great time at the Imagination Library fund raiser just outside of Henrietta, TX this past Saturday. This was a wonderful event that raised money for a great cause and I'm honored they asked me to be a part of it. Thank you to everyone who attended and thank you to Dottie and Lonnie Morrison for being such good hosts and giving of yourselves for the good of others.

I did an interview this morning with Big "D" and Bubba that will be aired on July 3rd on Lonestar 102.3 here in Wichita Falls, TX. They interviewed me about the 4th of July Fireworks show that I'm performing at for the Wichita Falls Tea Party Patriots. This is going to be a really cool event and we are expecting a huge crowd. This event will be held at the Inn At The Falls just next to the big waterfalls. The interview was very short but I will take what I can get! Be sure to listen for the interview on the morning show if you live in the area.

We had a great time at the Longhorn Saloon in Fort Worth on Friday night! As I mentioned in the previous blog, I love the Stock Yards. I felt like a little kid again. The weather got a little rough at times and I wasn't sure what was going to happen, but we never had to run for cover and that makes me happy. I got to hang out with the Jeremiah Houston Band before they kicked the show off. They are all good guys and it was good to spend some time visiting with them about what is going on in their careers. I always like to meet others that are doing the same thing I am doing. That doesn't happen very often unless I am playing at the same venue that they are.

I want to thank the Longhorn Saloon for having us perform there at their great venue and I want to thank all of the devoted fans that drove such a long way to see us again. Honestly, it wasn't a huge crowd but it was a good crowd. It created a family like atmosphere and I really like that anyway. Very up close and personal. I have more shows to prepare for this week and I will continue to promote "One More Day" at radio! I still need those requests if you get the chance.

Longhorn Saloon in the Fort Worth Stock Yards!

I spent so much of my time as a young man in the Fort Worth Stock Yards. It was the place I loved to be. The atmosphere was always so full of energy and I always thought it was a place that really represented Texas well. It was also a place that had bull riding's and rodeos every weekend so naturally it was a place I hung out at a lot. Anytime I wasn't entered somewhere else, I would drive down to the Stock Yards and enter. It was close to home and a lot of fun. I actually ended up with so many friends and fans from riding around there so many times. Billy Bobs has a bull riding every Friday and Saturday night and the Cowtown Coliseum has a rodeo both nights too. If I planned it right, I could ride in both on the same night.

This is why I am so excited to be performing at the place I used to call my second home! I will be at the Longhorn Saloon on Friday June 12th with my full band. The Jeremiah Houston Band will kick off the night at 9 pm and I will go on stage right after them. I'm very excited about this and hope to be able to return many times. It's been a little while since I have been on a bull so I miss making the trip and hanging out there. The Longhorn Saloon is the second largest concert and dance hall in the area. The only place bigger is Billy Bob's. All ages are welcome which is really cool, so the whole family can attend. I hope to see a lot of friends I haven't seen in a while and I hope you can come out and celebrate with us!

Crazy Horse with Dave Alexander!

I just noticed that I am getting close to posting my 1oo th blog on here. You think I'll get some award for that? I hope so! I think I am due a good award!

We had a great show and a great time at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Wichita Falls this past Saturday night. The crowd was large and very active and a lot of fun. I think some folks had too much fun if that's possible. It was a great pleasure to play on the stage with Dave Alexander all night. Dave has recently joined up with Willie Nelson and Asleep At The Wheel and recorded an album called "Willie and The Wheel". This album reached #1 and I got to play my show with the "Man"! Thanks Dave for taking the time to come and perform with us. We all had a blast!

The weather has been good, my allergies have been bad. I should be used to it by now but I'm not. I sure can't wait to get over all of this. So, my career seems to be more like the weather has been, very nice! The radio tour has been working and I gain momentum every day. It has been a lot of work but I can't stop now. I hope your Memorial Day weekend went well. Mine did! I had a great show and a great time in Stephenville, TX Friday night. We played at the Rockin P Bar and if you haven't been there, you should go. It's a great, clean place full of friendly people. We did an acoustic show with Jai on drums and Leslee on fiddle along with me. The sound was perfect in that building and it was cool to play my songs stripped down. Not me, the music!

I look forward to playing there again, and soon I hope. I will be performing at the Crazy Horse Saloon this coming Saturday night May 30th, in Wichita Falls, TX. You will want to make it out to this one if you have the chance. We have a really good show planned and the crowd is always good at this venue. There is a good dance floor that usually stays full but there is plenty of room for everyone.

Great Radio Tour Week!

Well, I just got in last night from touring the radio stations for another week. What a great week I had too! I got some really great interviews from the stations and I am making a lot of new friends on these trips. It's easy to make friends when they are playing my songs on the radio and giving me interviews. There are a lot of good people out there. They give me hope. Then there is Jai! Just kidding you Jai. We have a blast out on the road together acting like a couple of teenagers! I can't wait for next week.

Congratulations Sam!

First of all, I want to say congratulations to my friend Sam Keen for your success on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire"! Great job! I knew you would do well so I'm not surprised at the money you won. I would probably have to use all of my "life lines" on the first question and even then wouldn't get it! You have been on national TV more than anyone I know now. Congratulations again and good luck in the future!

I have been writing some new songs since I have been home and I can't wait to get them finished. I think I have some good ones in the works that will be on my next CD. I am going to record one of them very soon and release it by itself. I will let you know when that happens. I have more shows coming up since I have been climbing the charts. I will be in Stephenville, TX at the Rockin P Bar this Friday night and in Wichita Falls, TX at the Crazy Horse Saloon on May 30th. Moving Up The Charts!

I want to thank all the good people of Nocona, TX for coming out yesterday and having a good time even though the weather was a little crazy. I had a blast playing for you. I was able to spend some time with friends and do some catching up and I made several new friends and fans too. I also want to thank Josh and Danielle for supper at Times Forgotten. It was wonderful! Wow, what a great place to go eat. If you are ever in the area, you should go downtown and eat there. It's very easy to find.

I am now at #77 on the charts so I am still moving up! Thank you for the requests. Please keep doing it. There sure is a lot happening in the world right now. It's too bad that my favorite NBA team got beat out of the second round of the playoffs. I'm still proud of them for getting that far. School is almost out and is out for college. I remember those days.......barely! Maybe I had too much fun back then and that's why I struggle to remember.

I have been working on a couple of new songs lately. I think they are both keepers. One might turn out to be a single off my next album, the other one might just be for fun and not for public consumption! I'll let you know when I'm done. Nocona Festival!

I feel like I live in England now the way the weather has been lately. It's been cool and foggy almost everyday this week and everything is green. I better not get used to it. It probably won't be long before we see 100 degrees again!

The radio tour has done great things for me so far and "One More Day" is moving steady up the Texas Music Charts! It has taken a lot of work from a lot of people to make this happen and I appreciate everyone involved. If you want to help, you can request my song everywhere you go! I still have a lot of places to go and visit to promote this song. I am also getting very busy with live shows along the way. Things are starting to fall into place and it feels really good to be rewarded for the effort.

Moving Up The Charts!

I have just learned that my single "One More Day" is climbing the charts! Thank you to everyone for requesting it at your radio station! This song seems to be really catching everyone's attention and I am thrilled about it. As I have said in past blogs, I have been many miles the last few weeks pushing this single on radio. I have met a lot of good people who are getting behind me and making this happen. It really comes down to requests though. If you call the station and request my song more times, the station will play it more. This will really move that song up the charts.

I stayed at home last week to get some things in order, but I will be back out on the road very soon to keep visiting the stations. I still have a lot of places to visit. Texas is a huge state in case you didn't already know that! I have lived here my whole life and I am still amazed of the size of this great state. It is fun to get to see all the different scenery Texas has to offer. There is a little bit of everything here and it's all beautiful. I'm not sure what happened to the website but it's back now. Anyway, I've just been hanging around the house this week preparing to hit the road again and go visit more radio stations. I still have a whole bunch of stations to go to. There are still parts of Oklahoma, Louisiana, and the majority of Texas I still haven't seen. I will get right on that.

More Radio Tour!

I just got home last night from driving 1800 miles through Texas. The funny part is that I hardly covered a fraction of this huge state. I went as far west as Hobbs, NM and as far south as Fredricksburg, TX. It was a great week and I feel like I was welcomed everywhere I went. Thank you to all of the stations and DJ's for being so nice to me. I had some great interviews and really got to tell my story to the listeners. I took Cory, my guitar player, with me and we got to play some songs acoustic on the air. Hopefully this push will help my song move up the charts!

Relay For Life Concert Tonight!

It's a beautiful day for an outdoor country music show! Me and the band are getting together early today to go over some show details for tonight and tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I will be performing tonight in Henrietta, TX for the Relay For Life. This is a great organization working for a very good cause. Hopefully we can keep up this work and find a cure for cancer very soon. I'm sure everyone has been effected by this disease in one way or another and it would be nice to be able to stop it in it's tracks!

The event is being held at the Henrietta High School track. It all starts at 6 pm and will run through the night until 6 am the next morning. I will play from 10 pm until midnight. Please come out and support this cause if you can. I would love to see you there. It will be a god time for everyone so bring the whole family!

"One More Day" Hit The Texas Charts!

I just found out this week that my song "One More Day" has hit the Texas Music Charts at #87! That is a great start for a brand new song and with your help I can move that up the charts very fast. I have been out on the road every week stopping by all the radio stations to promote this song and my album and it has been going really good. The stations are spinning my songs and listeners are loving what they hear and this makes me very happy! I am not going out this week because I have to do some interviews on TV with news stations to help promote Relay For Life this weekend but I will be gone all of next week visiting radio stations again.

Please call your radio station and request "One More Day". That will help me out so much on my way up the charts. The more requests, the more they will play it and the faster it will climb. I really appreciate all of the support I have gotten from fans and DJ's at the stations. I couldn't do any of this without you and I won't forget that.

I had such a great weekend! I had a show in Henrietta, TX for Turkey Fest and had a great time under the blazing sun. I got to see a lot of friends since it is my home town. Thanks to all of you for coming out. I just got home from shooting more scenes for my "Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame" video that I have been working on. We filmed at a bull riding that my friend, Jack Raymond, put on just outside of Nocona, TX. We got some great bull riding shots and got to see Paul stick it on one!! It's the funniest thing I think I've ever seen.

I got to see a lot of friends that I haven't seen in a long time today and it was a lot of fun for me. Thank you to everyone that attended this event to help me out and help Jack get his bull riding kicked off. Great crowd and a lot of fun. Thank you Jack and Bryan for your help. You both did a great job getting this thing going. I can't wait to see the finished video and I will let you know when we are finished with it. Radio Tour Week #2

Wow, I just got home from my second week of being on the road doing my radio promo tour and I had a blast! Me and Jai tore the road up this week hitting as many stations as we could. It was a really successful week. I did more interviews and got great feedback from the stations and the DJ's! My song "One More Day" is starting to get their attention and take off and it is getting played more and more in Texas and Oklahoma.

I have a lot of shows booked to follow along with the radio tour so I will get to move along a lot of highway in the near future. This is my radio tour week #2! Last week went so well so I'm pumped for this week. I'm overwhelmed with how nice everyone was to me last week on the tour. I really feel like I'm getting some good work done now! Thanks again to all the stations and DJ's that are playing my single "One More Day". More and more doors seem to be opening for me and my music career and now the hard part is knowing which one to walk through and when!

Radio Tour Week 1

I am back home from the first week of my radio tour. I had a really good time and feel that it was a great success so far. I did interviews for radio shows later in the week and I also did interviews that were live. We gave away some CD's to the listeners and just had fun! Jai went with me and added pictures and video clips from the tour to my website as we drove down the highway. How 'bout that for updating! This is what we will do from now on. That way you can get on the site and see what I am up to.

I want to thank the stations that were so inviting to me this week. These guys are the ones who can really make or break a career in music and they were all great to me. I have been way beyond busy this week. I don't believe in human cloning, but I'm starting to consider it. I could have more free time for myself while the other Jay's do all the work. That's just weird. Let's move on.

Australia and Germany!

Wow, things are really going great here lately! Check out the front page of my website and read all the news if you get a chance. I have been making a lot of noise in Australia and some good people there are wanting to help push me along. I think I will have a lot of good opportunities there in the very near future. That works for me because I have always wanted to go to Australia. I used to travel to rodeos with a few Australian guys and I have never met one I didn't like. Who knows, hopefully it will happen soon.

Germany is another place that I have picked up speed on. I heard today that I was #5 on the charts there! Maybe Dirk Nowitzki will like my music and send me some court side tickets for one of his games! Maybe he would like to play me one on one in basketball! I would hate to show him up. It might embarrass him!

Anyway, thanks to the stations that are playing my songs and taking my music career to a whole new "world-wide" level. I appreciate it and look forward to a tour in the near future!

I sent my single "One More Day" out to radio stations last week and have already been added to over 30 stations in and around Texas! It seems that the DJ's are really loving my music and they are playing it on the air. I am excited about all the good things that are starting to happen now. I will be leaving the first week in April to begin my radio tour. We have set up interviews at many of these stations and I can't wait. Be sure to listen in on your country radio station in your area for my song and interview. Please call in and request "One More Day". That would help me out so much.

Meanwhile, we are still working on filming my "Honky Tonk Hall of Fame" video! It is going great so far and I look forward to shooting the rest of the scenes very soon. This video was a lot of fun to make and I know it will be fun to watch! I'll keep you updated on the progress and let you know when it's finished.

What a day we had yesterday! Shooting the Honky Tonk Hall of Fame video was great. It was a long day and we got a lot of scenes shot. Thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped make this a successful day. This was my second video, so I knew what to expect and could just get loose and have fun. We laughed all day long. I had to ride the mechanical bull so many times that I could barely get out of bed this morning. Wow! It's been so long since I have ridden a bull that I am a bit out of shape for that kind of activity.

We are getting closer to shooting this video! This video has a great story to it and I know it's going to be very good. Light-hearted and fun, just like I like it!

We could use your help in making this video. I have rented a club in Wichita Falls so the only crowd will be who comes for the video shoot. We need a big crowd. If you can get out that day, please come out and join us. It will be a good time, I promise! Who knows, you might become a movie star after this video is released! See ya there!

Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame Video Shoot

I will be shooting my second music video this Sunday! This video will be for Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame. I wrote this song about me and rodeo buddies so I look forward to acting like an idiot just like I used to. Maybe I won't have to act at all! I know this one will be a good time now that I have some idea what to expect. It will be very light hearted and fun and I can't wait.

Three lucky winners of the video drawing will make their acting appearance in this video and I know it will be fun for them also. I also look forward to working with them in this video. Keep an eye and an ear open for this one. I'll keep you informed on it's progress.

Successful Weekend!

Here we go again. Last night I had to turn on the air conditioner because it was 83 degrees all day and the house got really hot. Tonight, the heater. It went from 83 to about 39 in a very short period of time. I don't even know how to dress anymore!

Anyway, what a great time we had this past weekend. The show was great Friday night at the Crazy Horse Saloon. Thanks to all of the fans that came out that night. I am starting to see many of the same people at all of my shows and that's really cool. Also, I would like to thank Dan Mutchler for coming out and sitting in with us all weekend. You are a great guy and we had a blast!

The Boys and Girls Club benefit was one of the funnest shows I have played in a long time. Everyone was extremely nice to us and treated us very well at that event and it was a great success for the Club. It was some of the kids first concert to attend and I was glad to see them there. Thank you to everyone who supported this cause and thank you to the Boys and Girls Club for letting me be a part of this event. It was an honor!

Boys and Girls Club Benefit

After a less than perfect weekend, things have been moving along very nicely ever since! It's a good thing. I thought I was going to go crazy there for a little while. I have two really good shows this weekend.

The first one will be Friday night at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Wichita Falls, TX. We played there a little over a month ago and it went so good that we are coming back for another round. Bailey Latham will be opening and will get things started off right. She is a young and very talented girl that is a lot of fun to watch. The only thing that comes close to her talent for writing and singing is her amazing attitude and friendliness. She's a blast. You don't want to miss this show!

Saturday is the Boys and Girls Club benefit in Henrietta, TX. This is the kickoff show for my promotional tour and it will hopefully help keep the doors open for the club. They called me today and said they have already sold over 200 tickets for this event! That's an amazing start. Please come out and support the Club and see a good concert!

Big Weekend

I have a good weekend coming up. Me and the band will be back at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Wichita Falls, TX on Friday and in Henrietta, TX on Saturday night. Saturday night is the kickoff to my promotional tour!

If you missed us last time we were at the Crazy Horse, you don't want to miss this one. Everyone had a blast. The crowd was great! This is a new building and is set up very nice. The people who attend are good ol' down home people and it is guaranteed that you will have fun.

The show on Saturday in Henrietta is a benefit for the Henrietta Boys and Girls Club. They are close to shutting their doors from lack of funding and we are trying to stop that from happening. The Boys and Girls Club is a great positive place for young people to go after school and they offer a safe environment for them. I think it's a shame for them to be in this situation and I hope you will come support this cause. Boys and Girls Clubs have proven for years now that they are a great organization so lets help them stick around for a while.

Denton, TX

It's February and I had to turn the air conditioner on at the house. What a bummer. I could complain about the weather here for a long time but I'll just move on along to more important things for now. I will be performing with the full band this Friday and Saturday night at the Crazy Horse in Denton, TX. It already sounds like it will be very full so be sure to come out early. We had a great show and a great time last night at Fuglies in Wichita Falls, TX. We were the first band to play there and hopefully we got them off to a good start. Thanks to all of you that came out to see us. That was my first time to play in a smoke free bar. I must say, it was nice.

Keep your ears open for my song "One More Day" on your radio station. I am beginning my big radio push immediately. I have been very fortunate already with internet radio stations playing the song, and I have quickly become one of the most requested artist on those stations. Now I am turning my attention to radio "the old fashion way".

We have a big weekend next week in Denton, TX at the Crazy Horse so be sure to come out if you can.

Fuglies - Smoke Free Venue

We have posted the new tour schedule on the website. There are a lot of dates is a small amount of time. It will be fun! I still have a couple of local shows to do before I go and a few thrown in along the way.

We are playing at a new club in Wichita Falls, TX tomorrow night. It is called Fuglies and we will be the first band to play a this club. I am looking forward to it. By the way, this place is SMOKE FREE! The show starts at 9 pm so we won't keep you out too late! Hope to see you there.

Wall Street

Me and the band will be in Duncan, Ok at the Wall Street Bar this Friday, February 13th. The doors open at 8 pm and "trading"starts, I mean, the show starts at 9 pm. I have never played here before but I hear it is a really cool place. Be sure to load up all of your friends and family and come on out for the good times. As always, we promise a great time without the use of performance enhancement steroids I might add! We are very proud of that fact! Hope to see you there.

What a nice day it is. Not much wind! Woo Hoo! I just got in from Fort Worth last night. I got together with the band for a meeting and rehearsal. We're getting ready for all the gigs coming up. I look forward to the upcoming shows and hope to see you there. All of the business that goes with playing music can sometimes wear me down so it's always nice to get back to putting on a show like I love to do. Everything is still going great with the new radio stations. Please keep on requesting.

Promo Tour Coming Up

Last week it was freezing cold with ice all over the place. This week, I could use an air conditioner. It's crazy. It's always crazy in this area. Anyway, I'm not sure what the groundhog saw, but summer's coming fast it seems.

I have been busy planning out my promotional tour that will begin in a few weeks. There is a lot of work to do. That is a really good thing though. Everything has been going great with the radio stations. I am a top artist on all of the stations I have been added to. Some of them are even featuring me on their websites! It really feels good to get this far this fast. I thank all of you that have requested "One More Day" on those stations. Please, please, please keep it up. It helps me out more than you will ever know.

Distribution!!!

I've got great news! I just got back from a meeting in Houston. I met with a distribution company and we worked out a deal with them. This means that my CD will be in stores all over the world for good fans to buy! This is huge for me and my career.

Now it's time to buckle down and hit the road to promote the album. I can't wait! There are so many things going on to fill you in on, and so little time. I'm back home from Dallas for a couple of days now. I love Dallas, but I love going back home to the country with the wide open spaces. I got a lot of things done but there is still so much to do. Very exciting! I have just been informed that my song "One More Day" has been picked up and added on more radio stations! I have had a very busy week already. Back and forth from home to Dallas to home, and now back to Dallas. I'm getting a lot of work done though. Crazy Horse

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the show last night at the Crazy Horse Saloon. It was an incredible night and was very crowded and we had an amazing time. I got to meet a lot of great people and new fans. You all help make the show that much better and the night just flew by. Thanks to everyone for your support. We had a drawing for my next music video. Congratulations to the three winners! I look forward to working with you in the video and I know you will have a blast. I know I will.

Crazy Horse Saloon Tomorrow Night

Well, I have the big show happening tomorrow night in Wichita Falls, TX at The Crazy Horse Saloon and I hope you will be there. We will have a lot of things going on and you won't want to miss it. This Weekends Show

I'm getting really excited about the show coming up this Saturday. Many of you should have gotten an e-mail with all the details. If you didn't get one, please sign in on the website so we can keep you informed. Anyway, me and the band will be playing this Saturday, January 17th, at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Wichita Falls, TX. It already looks like we are going to have a huge turnout so you might want to get there a little early. We have a great energetic show planned as usual and I know we are going to have a blast. I will be giving away some free merchandise and I will also have a drawing. Winners of the drawing will get to be in my next music video! If you've never been a part of something like that, trust me, you will want to. It's a blast.

This year has already been so busy. I have some good shows coming up and I hope you can be there. I will be at the Crazy Horse Saloon in Wichita Falls, TX this Saturday night. Large numbers of people are expected to be there and I want you to be one of them. I always have a good time playing when all my friends are there. I just found out that I qualified for the Stockshow Showdown in Fort Worth, TX. That is really good news and I will keep you informed when I am informed. Since I am still on cloud nine from the Top 10 CD Review, this really helped move me up one more cloud. ( I'm not really sure what that means) Anyway, I will have another blog here in the next couple of days so check back!

Top 10

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Mine went very good. This was probably the most laid back Christmas I've had in years, and this is a good thing.

I had some really good news this past weekend about my CD. The "Jay Hollis" CD made the list of the top 10 CD's of 2008 for the Times Record News. Also on the list : George Strait, Brad Paisley, George Jones, Patty Lovelace, and Emmylou Harris. This made my year. I could hardly believe it when I saw my name on that list with such amazing artists. My plans are to follow that up with more CD's that keep making that kind of list. But for right now, I'm very satisfied.

Thank you to everyone who helped make 2008 so good for me. 2009 will be even better. Everything is really starting to roll now and I will try to keep up. I have some events coming up soon so stay in touch and I will keep you updated.
